Observation: In push hands, to the degree that a person can flexibly maintain integrity in their alignment, they become invulnerable to attack. Also generalizes to everyday life situations. Ex: I routinely push a 275 pound person in a wheelchair up and down inclines. If I use a taiji wedge, I can push her easily, although only a few inches at a time. If I use muscles, it hurts. I would say this generalizes from physical alignment to whole being alignment. There seems to be a wonderful protection created by maintaining one’s integrity.
