I have always been physically active throughout my life. Running has always been one of my greatest hobbies as it allows me to exercise and bury myself in deep thought processes. I am also very intrigued by martial arts and I often find myself watching martial art videos for hours, fascinated by all the movements and athleticism practitioners display. In the past, I have studied long Fist and Wing Chun. A few months ago, my father introduced me to Chen Style Practical Method. After much research about Practical Method, I decided spend my entire summer to study and practice Tai Chi. I began my training on June 15th, 2017.

Through。ut my two months of stay at DaQingShan, I have acquired much knowledge about Tai Chi’s effectiveness, history, and philosophy. I found myself fascinated with Practical Method’s use of body mechanics, angle alignment, and its relevance to the idea of Yin and Yang.

Having able to practice and interact with Tai Chi and it’s practitioners everyday at DaQingShan, I have acquired compassion and pride in practicing this energetic yet meditative art. I would like to become a disciple of Master Chen, and continue practicing Tai Chi under the guidance of Master Chen and his disciples.
